Air/Water/Vapor Barriers

Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing (CCW) is a division of Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a diversified manufacturer and supplier of premium building products for the commercial and residential construction markets. Carlisle has been a recognized leader in the roofing industry for nearly half a century, offering high-performance single-ply roofing solutions that include EPDM, TPO, PVC and roof garden systems. CCW services the waterproofing, framing and general construction industries. Every Carlisle company offers sustainable, eco-friendly products that help reduce a building’s carbon footprint, and often minimize its energy consumption and costs.

Air barriers are essential for a high-performing building envelope. They dramatically improve building energy efficiency, indoor comfort and longevity. CCW provides three types of air barriers: self-adhered sheet; fluid-applied; and fluid-applied, vapor-permeable. All have been evaluated by the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) and meet the most stringent energy codes including: 2012 & 2015 IECC; 2010 & 2013 ASHRAE 90.1; Massachusetts Energy Code 780 CMR; and the Canadian National Building Code. Fire-Resist products are formulated for burn resistance and have passed the NFPA 285 test in many wall assemblies. To increase moisture barrier protection, CCW also provides a variety of flashing products for use with air and vapor barrier systems.
